Morning Elopement at Ryan Meadows in Glacier National Park

Emily and Gaige were married on a beautiful Sunday morning at Ryan Meadows in Glacier National Park. They were surrounded by their friends and family and even though it was a bit smoky, that didn't stop them from having the best day!

They have known each other since elementary school. Can you believe it!? They didn't become close until after their junior year of high school and then started dating their senior year. Then just shy of a year out of high school in April of 2014 they opened their business together. Since then, they have spent the majority of their time together. Working together, working on remodeling their home together and living together. They were already were best friends, but working together every day has created an unbelievably strong bond as you can imagine.

They never felt rushed to get married. They loved to travel and explore the backroads of cities and outside of work, that was their big thing to do together. Heck, they've been to every continent except Antarctica as of now (I know they'll make it there one day). They also love nature and hiking! They even went vegan together as they are huge animal lovers!

In 2019 when they went on a road trip for Emily's birthday, she thought that would be the perfect time to ask Gaige to marry her! On the day of the hike in Bryce Canyon, it started snowing. Instead of nixing the hike, they went for it thinking it would be even more epic! And it was. When they got to the bottom of the hoodoos, Emily turned to Gaige, tried to get out the speech she had been practicing amongst the tears, but it turned out perfect in the end with a big YES from Gaige! Isn't that so romantic?

Emily called me a couple of weeks before their wedding looking for an officiant. I was so happy I was available because Emily was the sweetest and I wanted to work with her! I fell in love with their story and was even more in love with how they were going to join their last names. Instead of Emily taking Gaige's last name, they ended up combining both of their last names to form a new one. How cool!! After all, they were both coming together to make something new, so a new last name seemed even more perfect. Struttman + Jackson = Jackman

They built an amazing arch to get married beneath, brought in a few benches for their family to sit on and had mimosas and vegan cake ready to go afterward to celebrate! The ceremony was short and sweet just as they wanted, but so beautiful. Also, that vegan cake was delicious!

Emily and Gaige, thank you so much for having me be a part of your big day! It was perfect and you two are meant to be together! Your love shines through and through!

"We got married at Glacier National Park & we couldn’t have been happier with Katie! She is super sweet, was there early, wrote a beautiful ceremony for us, and was very helpful with everything. I absolutely recommend her. Our entire wedding party talked about how great she was and how wonderful of a job she did. We literally do not have a single complaint. She is lovely! ♥️" - Emily, Bride
